Recognizing Academic Achievement, At the Cougars Six-Weeks Awards

The fourth six-week period of the school year wrapped up last week, and our Cougar students were recognized for their academic achievements in a school Awards Ceremony.

 

Among our pre-K students, Nana Boakye was honored for perfect attendance and with the “Be Your Best" award; Luna McCray for perfect attendance; Mia Medina for perfect attendance and with the Science and “Best Listener" awards; Matthew Rangel for perfect attendance and the Science and the “Thoughtful Thinker" awards; Jocelyn Estrada, with the “Quiet as a Mouse" award; Hunter Watts, with the Science award; and Carlos Salazar with the Science award, the “No Monkey Business" award and the Manners award.

 

In kindergarten, award winners were: Makenzie Alvord, for perfect attendance; Magdalena Coto, for perfect attendance; Allison Rodriguez, for perfect attendance; and Elisa Rodriguez, for perfect attendance.

 

In the first-grade class, Devlynn Baldwin was recognized for A Honor Roll and the Science award; Amari Estrada for A Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the Science award; Cristhian Medina for A Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the Science award; Dilean Salazar for A Honor Roll and the Science award; and Leo Segura for A Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the Science award.

 

Among our second graders, awards went to Eli Campos for A Honor Roll and Science; Mia Estrada-Garcia for AB Honor Roll, perfect attendance Science; Jaydan Perez for A Honor Roll, perfect attendance and Science; Morgan Quarles for AB Honor Roll and Science; and Everett Tate for A Honor Roll and Science.

 

In the third-grade class, Nathan Ainsworth was recognized perfect attendance; Aaron Contreras for A Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Jose McCray for AB Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Jesus Velarde for AB Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Dana Segura for perfect attendance; and Gabriela Velarde for perfect attendance.

 

Fourth-grade award winners included Rachel Medina for AB Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Emmett Muise for AB Honor Roll and perfect attendance; and Darwin Salazar for AB Honor Roll.

 

In the fifth-grade class, awards went to Aurora Bell for AB Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the “Super Writer" award; Carlos Contreras for A Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Anthony Galvan for perfect attendance; Zachary Mendoza for AB Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Texana Scarbrough for A Honor Roll and the Comprehension Champ and Science awards; Violeta Solis for perfect attendance; Corbin Gibb for the “Citizenship" and “Rockin' Reader" awards.

 

Our sixth-grade award winners were: McKenna Crabb, for A Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the “Super Writer,” “Comprehension Champ,” Science and “Rockin' Reader" awards; Samanta Espinoza, for AB Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Cassidy Hale, for perfect attendance; Madyson Smith, for AB Honor Roll and perfect attendance; Kinsey Tate, for AB Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the Science award; Katlynn Gindlesperger, for the “Citizenship" award; Isaac Estrada, for the Science award.

 

Among seventh graders, Brandon Crabb was recognized for AB Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the “Citizenship" award; Nicole Martos, for A Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the Science and “Rockin' Reader” awards; Rhiannon Muise for A Honor Roll, perfect attendance and the “Super Writer,” “Comprehension Champ,” Science and “Rockin' Reader” awards; and Axel Sotelo, for perfect attendance.

 

In the eighth grade, the award winners were: Josh Rector for perfect attendance; Luis Guillen with the “Comprehension Champ" and Science awards; and Joe Acosta for the “Citizenship" award.

 

In our ninth-grade class, Luis Ayala and Hunter O'Leary were both recognized for perfect attendance.

 

In the junior class, Esteban Morales was honored for A Honor Roll.

 

And in the Class of 2021, both Vanessa Galvan and Tristan Smetak were recognized for perfect attendance.
