Dell Valley Community Members, Institutions Recognized for Support to District

The school is getting great support from the Dell Valley community! Ten local individuals and businesses were recognized for their contributions to the district, during the Dell City ISD school board meeting held Sept. 26.


Principal Carlos A. Contreras presented the awards, to Chaffhaye, which has devoted its employees, and equipment, to help with school projects, including the construction of new playground equipment; to Dell Valley EMS and the Dell Valley Volunteer Fire Department; to the Dell Telephone Cooperative; to Hudspeth County Sheriff's Deputy Nick Hanshaw; to the precinct 4 Hudspeth County road crews, who've helped with several needs, including the installation of flags at Cougar Field; to the Dell City PTO; to the Rio Grande Electric Cooperative; to Spanish Angels Cafe, which has donated food for school events; to DPS Trooper Mike Schulz, who's critical to the school's new guardian program; and to the Texas Department of Transportation, which recently paved an area at the Dell Junction, for school bus pick-up and drop-off. MJ Alvord received awards on behalf of Chaffhaye and the fire department. Alyssa Crabb represented the PTO. Dell Telephone employees Marcy Guillen and Vicki Bell were on hand. Tucker Lewis accepted the award on behalf of county road crews, and Armando Galvan represented TxDOT. Thanks to these individuals, businesses and groups, for everything they do for Dell City ISD!
