Meet the Staff at Dell City ISD

  • Catrina Wilson joined Dell City ISD earlier this year, but, at her desk in the main office, she's already found her place at the heart of the campus. Wilson is the school's registrar and she's the clerk for “PEIMS” – the Public Education Information Management System. She's also the school's events coordinator and sponsor for the cheerleading program.

  • Carlos A. Contreras joined Dell City ISD this year. As principal, he's the public face of the school, charged with setting strategic goals, monitoring student achievement, encouraging parental involvement and overseeing day-to-day school operations. Contreras said that, amidst all those duties, his role is that of a “coach,” keeping staff and students focused on the goal of academic achievement.

  • Nataneal Rodriguez teaches Dell City ISD's fourth- and fifth-graders. It's his first year of teaching, and he's striving to insure that his students integrate what they've learned in elementary, and are equipped for the next phase.

  • It’s a new initiative at Dell City ISD, with a new teacher in the lead. Berenice Mora joined the district this year as its early-education teacher, and she’s providing pre-K instruction to 3- and 4-year-olds. The foundation laid in early education, Mora said, can have a profound effect on students’ long-term academic success.

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in STEM education, Mehmet Ozer is Dell City ISD's special-education teacher and robotics program leader.

  • Erika Gamez joined Dell City ISD this year as the district’s kindergarten and first-grade teacher, and she’s dedicated to giving the elementary school’s youngest students the academic, social and emotional fundamentals.

  • Chuck Wilson is Dell City ISD’s new Ag science teacher and FFA coordinator. He’s also an assistant coach. In a community built on agriculture, and a school with a proud FFA history, Wilson brings years of experience, and he hopes he can share his passion for teaching and coaching with Dell City students for years to come.
